『カルドセプト』は 「運」の要素が勝ち負けを大きく左右するボードゲームに、考え抜かれた「戦略」がモノを言うトレーディングカードゲームの要素を加えた、ユニークなゲームシステムをもつ作品です。
「カルドセプトDS」は、『カルドセプト』シリーズ初の携帯ゲーム機用ソフトとして登場します。DSの携帯性を生かし、いつでもどこでもプレイできるのはもちろん、2画面を使ったゲーム画面はすっきりと見やすく、さらには通信機能の充実、カートリッジ化によるロード時間のない快適プレイなど、ニンテンドーDSの機能をあますところなく活用、シリーズ史上もっとも遊びやすい「カルドセプト」を実現しました。
